He's semi-tame and prefers an experienced male adapter. He has had a rough couple of years but is truly a well-loved bird. He is seeking the companionship of a special lady who will give him all the TLC, affection, and attention he deserves.<br/><br/>Merlin has a healthy appetite and enjoys fresh fruits, vegetables, and treats. He also speaks quite a few words and loves bobbing up and down while dancing to songs with a good, strong rhythm.<br/><br/>We prefer that his new companion have a minimum of one year of experience handling a large cockatoo. No exceptions. Because of Merlin's personality and preferences, we strongly believe he will thrive in a home with an experienced cockatoo companion.<br/><br/>We do not recommend placing Merlin in a home with children, as we have learned that he was never raised around them. While Merlin is comfortable around other birds, what he truly desires is the companionship of a devoted human.<br/><br/>Merlin's adoption fee includes his large green cage 34" wide dome cage and our large care package.<br/><br/>Merlin has a healthy appetite and enjoys fresh fruits, vegetables, and treats. We also offer qualified adopters the opportunity to purchase, at our cost, their choice of a Manzanita Floor "T" Perch or a Manzanita Floor Tree with our custom 2 ft. 2 ft. exotic wood base.
