Merlin is female greenwing macaw, at least 30 years old. She was with the same person until their death. While children care about their parents may have loved, living with a bird is not for everyone. We don't have much information about her past 30 years, but that's ok -- birds are very adaptable and always looking for new opportunities to have fun and thrive.
