Mauko's Story
An angel, a fairy, a magical feathered creature whom we all love so much. Mauko! (mok-coo). With her salted and peppered feathers, sweet nature and big, beautiful, brown eyes, what's not to love about this young pigeon?! Mauko self-rescued by hanging out at a sweet old couple's house and refused to leave! Unsure of where she came from, her band indicated she escaped from a breeder or racing situation. Soon enough, she was captured to comfort and spent her first few days of safety with one of our board members enjoying all the cuddles. She loves being misted, playing with Q-tips and receiving applause for her big wing stretches. This pigeon will make your life a fairytopia!

Rescued on: 6/9/2026
Gender: unknown, most likely female
Age: under a year
