Hello, I am Maui, a 5 year old male Harlequin Macaw. I am a quite gentle for such a large bird. I can be a bit cranky coming out of my cage, and I do this best on a perch. Once out I am very friendly. I am social and need a lot of interaction as well as a large cage and toys to keep me entertained. I am still very young, so I need someone able to make a long term commitment to my care. I can be quite loud, so I cannot live in an apartment. I eat pellets, veggies and fruit, and some nuts or seeds as treats. If you are looking for an awesome bird and aren't afraid of a rather large beak, I might be the one for you.
