Being in foster care, we have learned a lot about Jade. He is a funny, energetic, and intelligent bird that prefers a single female owner who can spend time with him. <br/>Jade is a typical Amazon. If he likes you, you are golden. If he doesn't want or like you and feels you are a threat to his favorite person, he will become protective and make it known he feels you are the enemy. <br/><br/>Jade has an excellent vocabulary. He says cute phrases like; Good morning, hey buddy, want out, whatcha doing, and hello. He loves sitting on your shoulder all day, especially at dinner. He enjoys his out-of-cage time, playing on his cage top, perch, and even flying short distances through the house to be with you. He loves taking showers on a shower perch, getting lightly misted, and playing in his water dish. <br/><br/>Amazon's are not good apartment birds and can be loud sometimes. Jade can be noisy, especially when he is doing contact calls and trying to reach you throughout the house. Jade will need a minimum cage of 36 x 24 x 48, with 3/4 - 1 inch bar spacing.
