Horace's Story

Horace is a blue & gold macaw, 28 years old (hatched 1998). He was taken from an abusive male owner. In the past 8 years, he has learned to enjoy life again, and he no longer fears men. But he is shy and takes time to warm up to and trust new people. He has a good appetite, and enjoys a variety of pellets, fruits and vegetables. He enjoys a good shower after some initial reluctance.

Vet check normal, except that Horace is ABV positive. He is not symptomatic and may never become ill. He is on an anti-inflammatory supplement. Comes with cage. Adoption fee $1,000. Must be within driving distance of Salt Lake City.
