Grace

Grace is a 24 year old Timneh African Grey who was recently surrendered by an elderly owner who could no longer care for her. She’s missing most of her toes due to an old injury, but that doesn’t stop her from perching and climbing around her cage. She’s a great flyer and is used to having the run of the house. Once she learns to trust you, she will step up onto a flat hand and give you kisses; she loves to fly to the shoulder of people she likes. She had been on a mostly seed diet but is starting to eat pellets, and she loves just about any fresh foods. She is on meds for her heart and arthritis, and takes them very nicely from a syringe.<br/><br/><br/>IMPORTANT PROCESS INFORMATION: Before we can discuss a specific bird with you, we ask that you follow our adoption process. Some birds are in foster homes that may adopt them, many other birds are waiting for our help and are not yet posted in PetFinders. The adoption coordinator in your area will work with you to find the best home for each bird, and a species and personality that works best for your family too.
