He wasn't handled much in the past, so he is looking for someone with parrot experience and the patience to give him the loving home he deserves.<br/><br/>When George first arrived, he was unhandleable, but he has made tremendous progress and is now semi-tame. He has a healthy appetite and loves fresh fruits, vegetables, and a variety of toys. He speaks a few words, and with a little TLC, we know he will become a wonderful companion.<br/><br/>If you're interested in adopting George and have the experience, patience, and TLC to give him the love and attention he needs, please complete our adoption application.<br/><br/>George's adoption fee includes his cage and our large care package.<br/><br/>Once we receive your completed adoption application, we will contact you by email to arrange a phone interview and schedule a meet-and-greet.<br/><br/>It is crucial that you monitor your email and respond promptly when we contact you. We promise to contact you as soon as possible after reviewing your application.<br/><br/>Our care packages include a custom new two-door parrot carrier, six weeks of Volkmann's Special Seed Mix, one 4 lb. bag of Volkmann's Fruit & Nut Goodies, four freshly packaged bags of Volkmann's treats, six assorted bags of Lafebers Nutri-Berries, two different refillable toys with refill packs, one shower perch (if needed), one Wi-Fi camera, one rechargeable misting bottle, one new Magic Bullet blender, three educational books on macaws, specialty parrot cookbooks (Go Raw and Parrots' Fine Cuisine), and much more.<br/>Qualified adopters may also purchase, at our cost, their choice of a new Manzanita Playpen, a Manzanita Tabletop "T" Perch, or a Manzanita Tabletop Balance Beam Perch. We also offer qualified adopters the opportunity to purchase, at our cost, their choice of a Manzanita Floor "T" Perch or a Manzanita Floor Tree with our custom 2 ft. 2 ft. exotic wood base. You may choose from a solid Black Walnut, Glossy Hickory, or solid White Oak base.
