While he isn’t hand-tamed yet, he’s making wonderful progress every day. He happily accepts millet from your hand and enjoys gentle head scratches through the cage bars. He is also learning that hands inside the cage aren’t so scary and is slowly building his confidence.<br/>One of Frankie’s best qualities is his easygoing nature. He doesn’t get frightened easily and stays relaxed even around dogs and children, making him a wonderful addition to a home with respectful family members. He currently lives on his own but previously shared his life with another budgie before his companion passed away, so he has experience living with other birds.<br/>Frankie is becoming more adventurous, too! He is learning to try new foods and slowly starting to venture outside of his cage for free flights. His absolute favorite thing is his swing, which he loves to swing wildly on, and it’s really fun to watch him at play.<br/>Frankie would thrive with someone patient, kind, and willing to continue earning his trust at his own pace. Watching his confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding, and he is sure to blossom even more in a loving home.<br/>If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle companion who will reward your patience with quiet trust and adorable moments, Frankie may be the perfect little bird for you.<br/>Frankie has been disease tested for chlamydia and PBFD.<br/>She is being fostered in West Deptford, NJ and will require an in-person visit before adoption. We do not ship our birds.<br/><br/>For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA.
