Fraizer's Story

Hello, my name is Frazier and I am a male Umbrella cockatoo, I am about 38 years old. I am a beautiful bird. I am friendly, but not really the cuddly type. I enjoy sitting in front of the window on a perch, and I will stay there for hours just enjoying the view. I step up, but prefer not to stay on people for long, I like my independence. I get along well with other cockatoos. I came to BNW because my previous owner could no longer take care of me. Diet: Pellets, fruits & veggies, nuts or seeds as treats. Adoption fee: $ 875.

Check out our website which explains our adoption process and has answers to most FAQ. Please read this before contacting us. Beak n' Wings adopts with the greater Kansas City area and up to 150 miles of the surrounding area.

We do not ship or trade birds. We do not adopt birds out for breeding. A contract is required at the time of adoption. Adoption fees are not refundable, except as stated in the contract.

Beak n' Wings, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Because most of our birds are in private homes, they are only able to receive visitors by appointment at our facility at our facility at 9010 Rosehill Rd in Lenexa, KS, usually on weekends. We also take them to outside events. If you would like to know where we will be taking them, please visit Beak n Wings, Inc. on Facebook. Our adoption process does take some time, generally a few weeks. As an all-volunteer group we have limited people power and most of our volunteers have full-time jobs as well. Our priority is not to have a speedy process, but a careful one that ensures proper placement of our companion birds. Multiple changes can be difficult for the bird, and we wish to ensure their safety. You can read our adoption process and FAQ on our website. We serve Kansas City and up to 150 miles in the area surrounding Lenexa,
