Echo's Story

Meet Echo The Tiny Queen Looking for Her Kingdom! <br/><br/>Echo is an adorable Senegal Parrot with a big personality packed into a small package. She knows exactly what she likes, exactly who she likes, and she's not afraid to let you know.<br/><br/>When meeting new people, Echo can be a little rough around the edges. She prefers to take things on her terms and may need some time before deciding you're worthy of joining her inner circle. Once she begins to trust you, however, you'll see a much softer side emerge and discover the loyal companion underneath.<br/><br/>Echo spent her entire life with an older woman and, as a result, has a strong preference for women. She enjoys having her person and is accustomed to being the center of attention in the home. Potential adopters should understand that Echo has spent years ruling the roost and will need someone who can provide structure while respecting her independent nature.<br/><br/>Like many Senegals, Echo is intelligent, opinionated, and full of character. She is also a serious foodie! Nutriberries are one of her favorite treats, and earning her trust through snacks is always a good strategy.<br/><br/>Echo is looking for a home with prior Senegal experience. She will do best with someone who understands the unique personalities, quirks, and boundaries that make Senegals such wonderful companions.<br/><br/>If you're an experienced Senegal lover looking for a bird with plenty of personality, Echo may be the perfect match. Fill out our online adoption application at www.ahelpingwing.org to begin the process of meeting this charming little girl.

A Helping Wing Parrot Rescue's Adoption Policy
The first step in our process is to complete the online application on our website at ahelpingwing.org After I receive, we will be in touch to review your information and with any questions we may have. There are multiple visits required to interact with the bird you connect with. Your first visit is what I compare to speed dating, you will meet many wonderful and sweet birds and we see who you connect with, attention is paid for how birds respond, we base our adoptions on the birds input and tell all adopters that when we let the bird choose, it's always a good match! During the visit time frame, we typically perform a home visit as well. The home visit is a great chance to review bringing home a rescue bird, where to setup cages, dangers in the home that many people may not consider, diet, daily routines, etc.
