Daytona

Daytona is a independent Severe Macaw. She had been found outside flying around years ago and the woman that found her brought her to us. She's a bit handicapped in that she's missing most of her toes, don't let that fool you..she can fly, climb, perch very easily. However, she is not a cuddly bird, she's still a bit afraid of hands but is learning to take treats from her foster home mom. <br/><br/>Her days are filled with flying around, buzzing anyone that walks in, hanging out in front of the window, eating other birds food if given a chance. She is a foodie at heart especially for the good stuff like almonds, walnuts...She is not a picky eater and will almost everything given to her. Her diet consists of fresh foods, sprouts, pellets, nuts, birdie bread. <br/><br/>Toys are a must, she likes to chew on wood blocks, cupcake wrappers, coin papers with almonds hid in them. Of course shredder toys are a plus as well....who doesn't enjoy shredding napkins! <br/><br/>She needs a home with no dogs or cats and where she can fly around.
