Cowboy's Story

Meet Cowboy!

Cowboy is a striking rooster with a presence that's hard to ignore. He's a bit of a mystery, tending to keep to himself and observing the world with a cautious eye. He hasn't had much socialization, so he's often wary of people, preferring to maintain his personal space.

When he's not keeping a watchful distance, Cowboy loves to assert his dominance with a proud crow, scratch for delicious bugs, and diligently patrol his domain, always on the lookout for anything new or interesting.

He would do best with someone who understands poultry behavior and is willing to give them the time he needs to adjust. If you're looking for a handsome bird to add to your flock and don't mind earning their trust along the way, Cowboy might be the perfect fit!

Cheyenne Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
As Wyoming’s largest animal adoption agency, CAS has the widest selections of cats and dogs, rabbits, small mammals and more in Wyoming. Visit our shelter today, or visit Adoptable Cats, Adoptable Dogs or Working Cats to view pictures and profiles of all pets in need of homes! Visit our website to see available animals or visit the adoptable animals at the Cheyenne Animal Shelter. We have three large dog adoption rooms, “cat alley” and critter space. While visiting the Cheyenne Animal Shelter, a CAS adoption counselor will help you find the pet who is the best match for your family and lifestyle. Once you find your match, a Cheyenne Animal Shelter staff person will begin the adoption process, which often takes as little as an hour. Once you have reviewed all adoption paperwork, you’ll pay the adoption fee. Then, you’re ready to take home your new furry family member.
