Butterscotch 's Story

Butterscotch is a racing survivor who ended up in a forest preserve workshop, which — honestly — suited him. He took to the place immediately. There were perches to evaluate, cubbyholes to investigate, and seed situations to assess. He had thoughts about all of it.
He’s a curious bird with a very active inner life. He’ll study something for a long time before deciding what to do about it, and when he figures it out, he lets you know. The head tilts are frequent and communicative. The coos are editorial.
His crop feathers are a shimmery green — the kind of iridescence that looks different every time the light shifts. He’s a handsome bird… who seems vaguely aware of this.
Butterscotch would do well in a home that finds his brand of nosy, opinionated engagement charming — which it is, once you understand that the scrutiny is genuinely affectionate!
