Hello, I am Blueberry. I am a male Parrotlet and I am about 3 years old. I can be handled, but I am still a bit shy of hands. I don't step up, but I can be lifted out of my cage and then be held. The people at BNW are working to teach me how to step up. I was given to a BNW member, so not much is known about my past. I am eating pellets, some fruit and veggies, and nuts or seeds as treats. Beak n' Wings, Inc.'s Adoption Policy

Because most of our birds are in private homes, they are only able to receive visitors by appointment at our facility at our facility at 9010 Rosehill Rd in Lenexa, KS, usually on weekends. Our adoption process does take some time, generally a few weeks. As an all-volunteer group we have limited people power and most of our volunteers have full-time jobs as well. Our priority is not to have a speedy process, but a careful one that ensures proper placement of our companion birds.
