Bert's Story

Hello, my name is Bert. I am a Sun Conure and about 25years old, my sex is unknown. I came to BNW when my owner could no longer care for me. I don't seem to have any bad habits. I can be loud like all Sun Conures. I am a very nice bird and will make a good companion for someone willing to give an older bird a forever home. I am staying at the BNW facility, you can visit me during their usual hours. I am eating ZuPreem pellets as well as some seed mix. Adoption fee: $500.

Check out our website which explains our adoption process and has answers to most FAQ. Please read this before contacting us. Beak n' Wings adopts with the greater Kansas City area and up to 150 miles of the surrounding area. We do not ship birds. We do not adopt birds out for breeding.

Beak n' Wings, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Because most of our birds are in private homes, they are only able to receive visitors by appointment at our facility at our facility at 9010 Rosehill Rd in Lenexa, KS, usually on weekends. We also take them to outside events. If you would like to know where we will be taking them, please visit Beak n Wings, Inc. on Facebook. Our adoption process does take some time, generally a few weeks. As an all-volunteer group we have limited people power and most of our volunteers have full-time jobs as well. Our priority is not to have a speedy process, but a careful one that ensures proper placement of our companion birds. Multiple changes can be difficult for the bird, and we wish to ensure their safety. You can read our adoption process and FAQ on our website. We serve Kansas City and up to 150 miles in the area surrounding Lenexa,
