Banyan's Story
Meet Banyan!! (case #11294)

This sweet little boy has quite the story already. Found outside on his own, Banyan is a young blue budgie with a curious spirit and a gentle presence. Like the tree he’s named after, he seems full of quiet resilience and the potential to grow into something truly special.

Banyan is still settling into indoor life, but he’s already showing signs of being an observant and inquisitive companion. He loves watching what’s going on around him, tilting his head as if he’s trying to understand the world. With patience and care, he has all the makings of a wonderful feathered friend who will bond closely with his person.

Budgies are small parrots known for their intelligence, social nature, and cheerful personalities. They thrive with interaction, whether that’s time with their human or another bird companion. With proper care, they can learn to chirp, mimic sounds, and even step up onto your hand.

They do best in: a spacious cage with room to fly and play, a balanced diet of pellets, seeds, and fresh vegetables, daily social interaction and mental stimulation, and a consistent, low-stress environment. Budgies can live 7–15 years or more, so adopting Banyan means committing to a long-term companion who will reward you with charm, personality, and gentle companionship.

Banyan may have started his journey out in the open, but now he’s ready to put down roots in a safe, loving home. If you’re someone who appreciates the quiet magic of earning a bird’s trust, Banyan could be the perfect little soul to grow with. Visit him at our adoption partner, PetSmart. The address is 1779 Stone Church Road East, Stoney Creek.

Adopters must provide their own enclosure and accessories.

**Please note: we only adopt within Ontario.
