Penelope's Story

Hi! I'm Penelope. But around the Sanctuary, I have a lot of names - Penelope, Penny, Penny-Elephant, Penny Nickel Dime - but I come waddling when you call my name or or you shake a container of gingersnaps! Some of the volunteers think that I am Grumpy Pig (you know, like Grumpy Cat) but I really do have the nicest disposition, I'm very gentle, and loving. I prefer when people get down on my level, extend their hand, and let me take their scent in when I'm getting to know them or when they are approaching me.

I had a sad start to life. I was rescued by my previous owner, and I lived in the house when my family lost it due to foreclosure. I am house trained and would make an amazing indoor pig - especially in a house that stocks gingersnaps, strawberries, and popsicles! I really deserve a family of my own to spoil me like the princess that I am.

I'm spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.

Blind Spot Animals Sanctuary's Adoption Policy
The majority of the animals in our care have been victims of cruelty and once found themselves neglected and abandoned. Many of them came to us broken and sick. Here at the Blind Spot Animal Sanctuary these animals experienced a loving touch, received vet care, are loved, cherished and cared for. We hope you consider adopting an animal so that they can continue to have the happy future they deserve. All of our animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Our animals are socialized and have nice tempraments. If you are interested in adopting or learning about miniature pigs, please visit our website http://blindspotanimals.com/
