Doodles's Story

Meet Doodles!

Doodles, better known around here as Dood or Doody, is a handsome 1-year-old black and white Pygmy wether with a BIG personality packed into a little goat!

This curious guy is usually one of the first in his herd to come investigate visitors and see what's going on. He's always interested in what the humans are up to, although he's still deciding whether being pet is something he wants to participate in. Treats, however? Those are an entirely different story! If you're looking for a way into Dood's heart, a tasty snack is a pretty great place to start.

Doodles is also quite confident in his place within the herd. In fact, if you asked him, he'd probably tell you he's in charge of the whole operation! He can be a little bossy with his goat companions and isn't afraid to assert himself, but he generally gets along well with the others and hasn't shown any concerning aggression. He just likes everyone to know who's boss!

Dood has been a healthy, happy little guy with no known special care needs. We think he'd do well with a family who enjoys a goat with a little extra personality and is willing to let him build trust and become more comfortable with hands-on affection at his own pace.

Because goats are highly social animals, Sanctuary One requires our goats to be adopted with at least one other goat unless they're joining a home with an existing goat herd. Doodles may think he's the most important goat in the pasture, but even a self-appointed boss needs some goat friends!

With his curiosity, confidence, and love of treats, we think Doodles will bring plenty of entertainment and personality to his future home. He's ready to find a family who will appreciate all his little quirks and give him the time, attention, and companionship he deserves!
