Turtle the guinea pig's Story
Turtle is an adorable and fun, five-week-old male American tri-color guinea pig (born January 17, 2026) looking for a loving guardian. He is social with people as well as other guinea pigs. He can be adopted with one of his brothers Bear or Pongo, or with his father figure Harry the Peruvian. He can be adopted on his own if you have a guinea pig who would get along with him.

He is currently eating unlimited timothy, orchard and botanical hays, fresh salad, fruits, veggies and pellets. Guinea pigs need daily vitamin C which they get from fresh pellets, a 1-inch squares of red pepper, a vitamin C cookie, and some of their dark leafy greens.

This fellow deserves a guinea pig-loving home with people who will handle him daily, keep him well-fed, nails trimmed, and habitat nice and clean.

If you’re interested in meeting and possibly adopting Turtle, please fill out an adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/guinea-pig-adoption-application/ and follow up to make an appointment by contacting friendsofpetraits@gmail.com

His adoption fee of $40, or $75 as a pair, benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue Group. For an additional $75, you can purchase his Midwest guinea pig cage (two-foot by four-foot), and all the supplies you’ll need to get you started.

He is being fostered in Chicago.
