Teddy Theodore's Story
Teddy Theodore has been estimated to be around 4 months old. He was the only boy in an unexpected litter, and we were asked if we were able to take him in. Teddy is a Teddy guinea pig with very soft, fuzzy fur. He is a shy boy but soon settles while being held. Teddy and Tobey were recently introduced first by dividing Tobey's cage so they could see each other. Then swapping their cages and this followed introducing them in a neutral area. Eventually we opened up Tobey's 16 sq foot cage so they could both use all of the cage. The pair seem to enjoy each other's company and will be adopted out together.

The minimum cage size for a pair of male guinea pigs is 10 square feet. They must have timothy hay at all times and need fresh vegetables every day that are high in vitamin C. They will need spot cleaning at least every other day and a thorough cleaning one a week. We have them on liners instead of bedding which saves money, which we wash every week. We use Carefresh bedding in their nest and hay area, contained in a cat litter pan, that has an opening at the front for them.

Guinea pigs can make cute and fun little pets, but as with any pets, they require some special care. If you are interested in providing Teddy Theodore and Tobey Tobias with a loving forever home, please check out the links below before submitting an application to make sure you are informed about the care he will need.
