Please email thepocketpetproject@gmail.com directly for inquiries.

All adopters are expected to follow the care guidelines listed here: https://thepocketpetproject.com/2024/05/01/syrian-hamster-care-basics/

Minimum cage requirements: preferably 900-1000 sqin+ however 800sqin will be considered with enough enrichment.

Teddy is approximately 3 months old. He is shy, but polite and tolerant of being touched/pet. He enjoys a really wide range of veggies. For protein, he prefers tofu and seeds to mealworms.

He was rescued August 8 from a very tiny enclosure with food and water, barely any bedding, and no other enrichment. He had fur rubbed off on his nose, likely from attempting to escape, but it has been growing back in. His fur looked oily and disheveled, but after being in a clean enclosure with lots of bedding for a short time, he looked cleaner and his coat became shiny in appearance (likely also due to improvements in his diet).

He likes larger sandboxes, burrows and tunnels, and climbs on a few things. He likes hides and tunnels. Teddy seems curious and interested about spending time in a pen, so ideally his adopter would provide that for him on a regular basis. He's a really sweet guy, and deserves a caring and attending adopter!
