Statler and Waldorf's Story

Over the past few years, we have noticed a significant increase in the surrender of older pets. 8 and 10 year old Statler and Waldorf were left behind when their owner was forced to move. While they were left with a family member, they were not educated in proper care. The boys were kept in a small travel bird cage with a handing hidey house (as seen in the photo) . They were underweight and dirty.
Since coming to MHIY, these two have began to explore a larger cage and are learning to love new foods every day!
There is a suggested donation of $100.00 for this senior bonded pair.
As with all our adoptable pets, there is an approved application with veterinarian and personal references required. If you are 21 years or older and interested in obtaining more information on one of our adoptable pets, please contact us at myhopesinyou@yahoo.com so that we can email you an application and contract agreement. Once you have been approved we will contact you to schedule an appointment for you to come to meet with us.
You must be willing to come to Dutchess County, New York to personally meet with us and sign an adoption contract. Under no circumstances will we ship our pets.
Thank you for considering adoption.

"A RESCUED PET SHOULD ONLY HAVE TO BE RESCUED ONCE"
