Squeak's Story

Squeak is an approximately 1 year old male guinea pig. He was rescued by a Good Samaritan after his owners decided they no longer wanted him and let him loose outside. When first coming to us Squeak had mild GI stasis and was emaciated. Since being in our care Squeak has gained weight and is now healthy. He has received a clean bill of health by a veterinarian.

Squeak regularly interacts with his foster family. He is curious of the other animals in the household. He tolerates being held and patted. He actually prefers pats and scratches and will start cooing during it. It is unknown how Squeak is with children, but it is known that he lived with children previously and he seems to do just fine around lots of noise and activity levels.

Squeak is a demanding little fellow and will actively tell you when it is time for him to be fed his greens. He likes timothy hay and absolutely loves all fresh greens and veggies although he is partial to romaine. He knows when the dogs and cats say it is feeding time and actively starts to chime in with his own comments.
