Squall's Story

Squall was found outside in the cold right before the big snowstorm and was luckily rescued by someone walking their dog. He was transferred to us by animal control. He spent some time in a foster home with other guinea pigs and enjoyed chatting with them. We would love to find him a home with another male guinea pig he could bond with. Squall is a typical piggy who loves his veggies, relaxing in his pigloo, and exploring his cage.

Guinea pigs are active, gentle, relatively low-maintenance pets that love companionship and make great pets for gentle children six years old and up. Guinea pigs are happiest when they have a clean cage and lots of socialization time with their person. They require fresh hay and greens (lettuce, parsley, basil, etc.) daily, and adopters should consider this expense when adding a guinea pig to their family. If you would like to adopt a guinea pig, rabbit, or another small critter, please fill out our adoption application: medfieldshelter.com/adopt

Our guinea pig adoption fee is $25 for one or $35 for a same-sex pair.
