Meet Spud, a young guinea pig with a big personality tucked inside a small, floofy package! <br/><br/>While he's quite wary of people, with guinea pigs, Spud prefers to be the one calling the shots. He's previously lived with another male guinea pig companion, but they didn't get along wonderfully, and he's feeling much more relaxed solo. This cautious little guy likes to take things on his own terms and is looking for a patient adopter who will give him the time and space he needs to settle in.<br/><br/>We believe Spud could live happily with a better matched male guinea pig pal, whether through bonding or living side by side, or could be content as a solo man with plenty of human attention! Every guinea pig has their own social style, and Spud's is definitely "my way or the hayway."<br/><br/>Like many shy guinea pigs, Spud isn't the type to immediately run up for attention, but with patience, consistency, and plenty of tasty snacks, we're hopeful he'll continue to gain confidence. He would do best in a quieter home with adopters who understand that some of the most rewarding relationships are built slowly.
