It’s a Trio! Meet our delightful trio of guinea pigs, each with her own unique personality. Soju is the social butterfly and loving caretaker of the group. She adores both of her friends and can often be found grooming them, making sure everyone feels safe and cared for. Matilda, who is about a year old as of February 2026, is a bit shy, but she’s bravely working on coming out of her shell. With plenty of love and patience, we’re confident she’ll soon grow into a confident and outgoing little lady. And then there’s Penelope, our energetic baby, born the day before Thanksgiving 2025. Full of spunk, she squeaks loudly to demand her veggies and keeps everyone on their toes. Together, these three make a lively, loving bunch and will fill your home with joy! Southern California Guinea Pig Rescue's Adoption Policy

Adopters must fill out an application (available online) and submit a photo or receipt of their cage so we can verify our minimum space requirements are met. After approval, arrangements are made for the adopter to meet the guinea pigs with an experienced volunteer to facilitate the introductions and answer any questions. If trying to pair a single guinea pig with a current pig, the application process is the same but the meeting process is a bit lengthier. The adopter can meet with several single guinea pigs to see which one may be a harmonious match. Initial introductions can last a couple hours and the adopter will go home and reintroduce the guinea pigs and monitor for signs of aggression. If the bond fails, the adopter must separate the guinea pigs and we will make arrangements to take the guinea pig back. Then we repeat until we find a good match.
