Salt and Pepper's Story

Meet Salt and Pepper! These sweet boys are about 4 years old and full of energy! They can be very shy at first but with trust building and patience they will warm up nicely. Like most chinchillas the boys do not enjoy being held or cuddled much but they will accept a little forehead or chin scratch and take treats from your hand. Salt and Pepper love playtime outside of their cage and will jump on you and run all around while happily squeaking. They also love running on their wheel, playing with chew toys, rolling around in their dust bath a few times a week and laying on their cool tile in the cage. Salt and Pepper will need a large enclosure like a double ferret/critter nation cage or similar along with a chinchilla specific wheel and lots of enrichment!
