Saffron is a standard grey female chinchilla. She is approximately 3 years old and she is a rescue.<br/><br/>Saffron is a good chinchilla - she does well with being handled, held, and petted, and she loves her treats. She has recently taking a liking to her hammock, so we suggest that her new home buy her one (we sell them), so that she can lounge at her new home. She is one of those chins that will "talk" to you, but she is a sweetie and a good chinchilla.<br/><br/> We do not know if Saffron gets along with other chinchillas.<br/><br/>As with all our chinchillas/rescues, Saffron will come with 2 pounds of food to start you out (Mazuri pellets), some chews/treats, and a printed out version of our care packet. We also have additional supplies for sale, including our popular Starter Package ($25) which contains 5 pounds of food, 2 pounds of dust, a bag of hay (24-28 oz), some chews/treats, and a hanging toy. <br/><br/>Regardless of past chinchilla experience, all potential homes will be asked to read our chinchilla care packet and fill out our adoption application/chinchilla questionnaire. If you are unwilling to do this, please do not waste our time or yours.
