Rose is a 3-month-old American guinea pig with a tan and white coat and a shy little personality. New people can be a bit intimidating for him, so he spends much of his day tucked away in his hides and may dart away when hands approach. Give him some quiet time, though, and his curiosity starts to win out. After sitting with him for a few minutes, Rose began coming over to sniff hands, although he was still nervous about sudden movements.<br/><br/>Rose has been enjoying out-of-cage time in a playpen with volunteers, and he seems to really like having the opportunity to explore in a safe, enclosed space.
