Rick's Story

Fostered in Windham, CT.

UPDATE 11/20/25:

Ricky is becoming a super social little guy. He LOVES his vitamin C treat and is super vocal whenever anyone enters the room! Like most guinea pigs he doesn’t like to be picked up but once he’s on your arms he’s a squishy adorable little love bug!

UPDATE 11/11/25:

Rick is shy, and it took him a while to come out more to eat in the open without hiding. Noises still cause him to run for cover. Rick does have a very loud wheek when he is anticipating treats, now that he has come out of his shell more! He tends to be intimidated by getting picked up, but once he is on a lap, he loves the attention and can hang out and be snuggled for a long time. He headbutts the hand petting him to encourage more attention and purrs away.

Rick and his brother, Alberto, have had to be separated due to them not getting along. It is unknown whether or not he would be able to be introduced to another guinea pig.
