Richie's Story
Fostered by Katherine in Raymond, ME.

UPDATE 3/14/26:

Richie, the Chinese Striped Hamster, is looking for a loving home which gives him the space he needs.

He has two great passions: re-doing his entire tunnel network every few days and running on his wheel at 2 am. To keep him happy, he just needs some deep bedding, a big wheel, and tasty snacks. He also partakes in a good sand bath.

When he came to his foster he was so scared of humans, he would run away the moment a person entered the room. Now he’s worked up the courage to take treats from his foster’s hand, but he still spooks easily. His eyesight is poor, so he must be approached carefully, but if he hears a bag crinkle he’ll emerge from his tunnels to say hello.
