Popcorn's Story

Say hi to Popcorn! Popcorn is very well named, this young Abyssinian boy loves to popcorn in his enclosure. He is very vocal, has a very happy personality, and loves to zoomie during floor time. Make no mistake, he's an amazing little guy. Popcorn is still learning that it is safe to be picked up and held though. He has a lot of energy and loves to play, but he is absolutely terrified of being picked up. Because of this, he'd do best in a guinea pig experienced home that will help build his confidence. Because of this skittishness, we don't think he'd do well with younger children. If you're ready to welcome some joy and exuberance into your life, Popcorn may be the little guy for you! Matchmaking is what we love to do. We do our very best to find the best fit for the pets awaiting adoption at the Rhode Island SPCA. The first step to adopting a dog from the Rhode Island SPCA is filling out an adoption application. If your application is selected, you will be contacted and asked if you would like to schedule a meet & greet. Because of the volume of applications we receive, sometimes we can only respond to the selected applicant. You are always welcome to contact us anytime about the status of your application at info@rispca.org.
