Pluto, Ace, Arthur, & Mew!'s Story

Pluto, Ace, Arthur, and Mew are a bonded quartet of rats born approximately 11/01/2024. They came to the rescue in 2024 as part of a large group of rats found in an abandoned house, and sadly had to be returned due to personal reasons. Make no mistake these ratties were very loved and well cared for, and only returned because their owner had no other options.

Pluto is the black hooded boy, and he does have a bit of brain damage that has been consistent for as long as we have known him. He has a mild head tilt and circles when excited, and sometimes forgets what he's doing and gets a little confused. He is perfectly healthy besides this and has been evaluated for ear infections or other causes. He gets around just fine like any other rat and his brothers love him. Pluto is the friendliest boy!

Ace is the pink eyed white boy, he is the second friendliest after Pluto, he loves free roam but can be a bit squirrelly about being picked up.

Arthur and Mew are both grey hooded ratties. Mew is the most nervous and Arthur is a little bit friendlier. Mew could be a bite risk if he feels threatened. He does not go after people, but if you forcibly handle him he may lash out. We are able to pick him up to put him into a carrier for cage cleaning, and he likes free roam / playpen time, but he is not a cuddly rat and that's okay. Respect his personal space and you won't have issues! We recommend using a towel or scooping him into a hide or a box to move him if needed or for health checks, and other than that stay hands-off.

These four boys have spent their whole lives together and want to stay as a group of four in their new home. We will not split them. They can join an existing mischief, or they can be the perfect instant rat family for a rat lover!

We can meet for adoptions within 1 hour of Minneapolis or Faribault, MN. Potentially further- please inquire and we can discuss!

APPLY HERE: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf-XKeCEMgJ9aEA0CR1Pv9NGcoNcMkY0dw2m3DehyChe4ToVA/viewform?usp=header

Tiny Whiskers Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
The first step is to fill out an adoption application. This includes questions about their proposed enclosure for the animal, food, enrichment, and whether they have an exotic vet or not. We review the response and contact them with any questions we have. Once all questions have been answered and approved, we move on to the second step. This involves submitting multiple photos of their enclosure, fully set up for their animal. We inspect the photos and address any concerns we see. Once we can ascertain that the enclosure meets our requirements, we give final approval for adoption. A meet up is arranged for the person to take home their new pet. At the meet up, we have a contact that must be signed by the person (or legal adult) agreeing to take proper care of the animal, not to breed it, and that they will contact us if the animal becomes sick within the first week, or if they are unable to care for the animal any longer.
