Penny & Kevin's Story

Penny and Kevin are exceptionally friendly guinea pigs. Unfortunately, Kevin had a lump which had grown back and needed removal. We had it removed once before, and tested. Thankfully, it was benign. The lump might grow back again and for that reason they are listed as special needs... One of these guys (not sure who) was purchased from Petsmart in Middletown NY. They were adopted last year and returned due to no fault of their own. So they are now looking for "furever" home #3... This male and female duo is both spayed and neutered. ReHeart Rescue, Inc.'s Adoption Policy

We require an adoption fee of $100 per rabbit and guinea pig. Cats are on a case by case basis. We also require a signed adoption contract with the understanding that the animal is to be returned to us if no longer wanted. The prospective adopter will need to have a phone interview with us and provide a veterinary reference if possible, plus one to two personal references. Lastly we require a home visit, which may sometimes be completed virtually, to check the habitat set up.
