Penny, Juno & Gemma

Momma Juno and her daughters Gemma and Penny are delightful, friendly, curious, and confident rats! They would be the perfect rats for a first time rat keeper or a family with children! Gemma and Penny were born in rescue and have had consistent handling since birth and they love people! This group is a big fan of burrows, tunnels, and customizing their hammocks into hides! They currently also enjoy chewing alllll the things and benefit from a wide assortment of chews within their cage and free roam space. They have never been destructive during free roam time but it will be important to rat proof any space that they are given free access to! <br/><br/>Momma Juno was very young when she had her litter and we believe she will likely stay on the petite side. She sets the tone for the trio and all of her babies have taken her lead of friendly curiosity. She’s a very smart little rat who loves puzzle toys and free roam….though she’d most prefer to spend the day tucked away up your shirt sleeve or in the hood on your sweatshirt. She’s a love. <br/><br/>Gemma is tightly bonded with her momma and shadows her in both movement and temperament! Being a bit younger she is busier…but once the wiggles are out she’d like to be on your shoulder and connecting with the people! She’s also the boldest of the trio…she’ll be the first to stretch out and explore new sights/sounds and serves as the official “investigator” for the trio. <br/><br/>Penny is just slightly more reserved than her sister and momma…she’s in no way unfriendly but she prefers to take her time before jumping in. When new enrichment is added to the enclosure or free roam space she is the most cautious and generally dispatches her sister Gemma to ensure all is well. This whole process is pretty brief though and once she knows you…she very much wants to be with you….she also really likes to tuck in behind your hair and just hang out! <br/><br/>Located in Sherwood, OR.
