Niles & Frasier's Story
Niles & Frasier are 2 young male sugar gliders seeking a responsible forever home. These animals can live up to 15yrs so they are a real commitment! Their diet is somewhat complex & the supplies they need are very unique, so there will be a fair amount of questioning / discussion before their adoption is approved. Many many many people cut corners on sugar glider care & the animals suffer death because of it. I've been working with sugar gliders professionally for years & take my time to ensure they get safe homes. I'm totally willing to work with a first time owner & give all the information needed from square one - but you need to show a willingness to learn & not just an agreeable rushed response! These boys will not be adopted out as Christmas presents unless a truly thoughtful, prepared owner is willing to prove their commitment. About the boys:

Their first owner failed them, as so many do. He had kept his sugar gliders hidden from his roommate & these babies were discovered barely alive when found 2 weeks after the man had abandoned the home. The breeder they came from is unknown & we can't be certain that they are really even brothers. But the roommate is quite convinced that they are 12-13 months old since it was about 10 months ago when the man started acting very secretive.

These 2 boys are very playful & bouncy, as many adolescent gliders are! They dont sit still & dont really want to be "handled" much. However they are pretty social, they'll climb all over you, and they arent very crabby for having been neglected so badly. With patience they should definitely be able to bond with an owner pretty well. Keep in mind though, gliders are prey animals & very often do not like to settle down & be pet! Many people are never able to hold their gliders. Playtime may be the most of a relationship these animals give! They can be very very fun but they are not for everybody.

Its taken a few weeks for them to gain strength & weight but these 2 are now ready to schedule their neuters & begin receiving applications! Niles is a "white face" and Frasier looks to be a "black beauty". Theyre believed to be brothers around 1yr old but it's possible they are brothers from another mother & possibly a bit older too. They both have youthful energy & bounce all over me with 0 aggression during tent time. They can be a bit of a handful to get back into their sleeping pouch and thats pretty typical of young boys that havent been handled a ton. Experienced glider owners are preferred but enthusiastic first timers can also be a good match! Sugar gliders are generally not recommended for children under 8-10yrs old and they are NOT emotional support pets. Theyre high energy, high maintenance, not very tactile, and their little claws are very sharp! We are officially working on nail trim desensitizing but it will take a brave owner or a trained vet tech to continue nail trims when they transition to your home.

Send a message if youre interested to learn more! The adoption fee to cover vet examination, neuter, and other care will be $400 for the pair. Cage/supplies are not included with their adoption.
