Meet Morning Star, a spirited chinchilla who came to TCHS with a group of his companions.<br/><br/>Morning Star is an alert and inquisitive little guy who enjoys observing what's going on around him and spending time near his favorite people. He can be a bit squirmy when being picked up, but with patience and gentle handling, he begins to feel more at ease. He tends to like attention on his own terms and also values his independence, making him a great match for someone familiar with small animal behavior.<br/><br/>He is currently eating Brown's Tropical Chinchilla Fortified Daily Diet. Morning Star is a big fan of treats and especially loves supervised playtime outside of his enclosure, where he can explore and burn off some of his energy.<br/><br/>As with all pets, slow and positive introductions to new environments and companions are recommended to help him adjust comfortably. With a caring home, a bit of patience, and plenty of enrichment, Morning Star is sure to make a fun and rewarding addition to the family.<br/><br/>*Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee.<br/><br/>**Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals.
