Mamma Mia's Story

Mamma Mia and her five babies were dumped in a box at the City Shelter in June, 2011. Even though they are not lops, they all have huge, heavy ears that stand up and fall down depending on their activity. We met Mia at a big, outdoor adoption event (Pet-a-Palooza) and realized what a lovely, outgoing rabbit she was. Hundreds of dogs passed by and she never flinched. Her time was limited at the full shelter, so Mia was brought into a foster home where we have gotten to know her even better. She is not shy at all and settled into her space with three indoor cats just fine. Mia uses her litter box well and has not had any accidents outside of her pen. She loves to play and do acrobatics early in the morning and late evening around 9pm, but she will take a break to be petted any time. The only thing Mia loves more is food. You will not find a more enthusiastic rabbit at feeding time. She is afraid to be held, but Mia will melt into the floor and roll onto her side to be petted top to bottom. Mia will do well in a home with other pets and children if the adults are responsible for her day-to-day care.

Come and meet our fabulous foster rabbits!

All rabbits are spayed/neutered (age permitting) and litter box trained.
