Jingle and Belle's Story

Meet Jingle and Belle

These two cuties were rescued in December of 2025 from a local animal shelter. The shelter contacted us after Belle gave birth at the shelter. We knew a nursing mama needed peace and quiet to take care of her babies so we rushed to get them out.

Jingle and Belle are a loveable mother-daughter pair. Belle, the mom, is an American Crested. As of 3/2026, she's approximately 9 months old. Belle is very shy but does well with gentle pets and being hand-fed treats. She is very relaxed once you get her cozied up in a cuddle.
Jingle was born December 2, 2025. She's an Abyssinian and is curious and playful. Once picked up, she loves getting scratches behind her ears and along her back. She popcorns when she knows veggies and fresh hay are on their way!
These girls love being on a schedule and will wheek loudly for their morning veggies and evening treat. Almost like clockwork they get the zoomies at 8:30pm!

Both girls are available now for adoption to a safe, loving and preferably adult only home.

The girls are currently used to living in a 2x5 grid C&C cage and we ask that adopters be willing to provide the same size. They are also loving their piggy safe tunnels and hides as well as lots of enrichment and safe spots to snuggle in.

For more on care and cages please see our website.
https://www.socalguineapigrescue.org/guinea-pig-care

Cage info
https://www.socalguineapigrescue.org/cage-guide

Southern California Guinea Pig Rescue's Adoption Policy
Adopters must fill out an application (available online) and submit a photo or receipt of their cage so we can verify our minimum space requirements are met. After approval, arrangements are made for the adopter to meet the guinea pigs with an experienced volunteer to facilitate the introductions and answer any questions. If trying to pair a single guinea pig with a current pig, the application process is the same but the meeting process is a bit lengthier. The adopter can meet with several single guinea pigs to see which one may be a harmonious match. Initial introductions can last a couple hours and the adopter will go home and reintroduce the guinea pigs and monitor for signs of aggression. If the bond fails, the adopter must separate the guinea pigs and we will make arrangements to take the guinea pig back. Then we repeat until we find a good match.
