Jackfruit's Story

Jackfruit was transferred from our local animal control where he was owner-surrendered. He is a pretty sweet dude and will sometimes let us reach in and scratch his lil forehead. He has had one meet and greet with another male and they were both pretty dominant/territorial with each other so Jack would probably do best bonding with an easygoing, submissive male.https://www.lostwoodsas.com/adoption-application

Lost Woods Animal Sanctuary's Adoption Policy
Adopters first fill out an application on our website, which asks about the adopter's household, how they plan on housing their new pet and what they plan on feeding. Because exotics have very species-specific housing and dietary needs, we have a director reach out to each adopter to discuss proper housing, diet and husbandry, as well as lifespan and handling. Adopters can choose to schedule a meet-and-greet with the animal or adopt without a meet. We need to receive a picture of the enclosure when it is ready, and when the enclosure and the adopter are ready, we schedule the adoption. Our adoption fees are set to be comparable to the animal's price at a pet store. Adopters sign a contract certifying that if they can no longer care for the animal, they must return them to Lost Woods. When adopting bonded pairs/groups, each bondmate is half fee. Fees: Rabbit, chinchilla, or tortoise $100 Bearded dragon or degu $50 Guinea pig $40 pair $30 single Leopard gecko $30 Rat, hamster, or gerbil $20 Mouse $15
