Fable & Folly's Story

These two beautiful girls came to us from a hoarding situation, and they are now ready to find a loving, patient home of their own.

They are a bonded pair and MUST be adopted together. They are both female, and keeping them together is very important to their well-being.

About Fable and Folly:

These girls are sweet, but they are still learning to trust people. Because of their background, they are not currently highly social or cuddly gliders.

They aren't the kind who will jump onto you or seek you out for attention — at least not yet.

They will, however:

Come out to explore while you sit quietly nearby
Take treats from your hand
Lick goodies from your finger
Watch and interact with you from the safety of their enclosure

They are making progress, and we believe they have the potential to become much more comfortable with their person. They simply need someone who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let them come around at their own pace.

Their new person needs to be comfortable with the possibility that bonding may be a slow process. They should never be forced or chased into interaction.

What Their New Home Needs to Look Like

We're looking for someone who:

• Understands sugar glider care and behavior, or is genuinely prepared to learn
• Has (or is prepared to provide) a large, secure enclosure with plenty of climbing space
• Will provide appropriate enrichment, toys, sleeping pouches, and safe out-of-cage time
• Understands that sugar gliders are nocturnal and are most active in the evening/night
• Has access to an exotic veterinarian familiar with sugar gliders
• Is patient and willing to build trust rather than expecting instant cuddles
• Will keep these two girls together for life

What They're Eating

They are currently eating:

• Exotic Nutrition Glider Complete
• Instant HPW
• Fresh fruits and vegetables
• Occasional bugs
• Occasional hard-boiled egg as a snack

Keeping them on familiar foods initially will help make their transition to a new home easier.

Most Important

These girls have already experienced more upheaval than they deserve. We're looking for a home that will give them stability, patience, and a chance to learn that humans can be trusted.

They don't need someone looking for the perfect, instantly tame sugar glider.

They need someone who can look at two nervous little girls and say:

"That's okay.
