Eliza

Eliza is a super cute, feisty little gerbil, estimated to be around 2 months old. She was dumped at a pet store. She had been living in a small plastic cage with tubes, however the tubes had marked her back. Thankfully since being removed from the cage, her fur has grown back and her marks are almost completely gone. Sadly Eliza is living alone, if we had another young female gerbil in the rescue we would love to pair the two together but at the moment Eliza is our only gerbil. If you have a female gerbil that needs a friend and know how to introduce gerbils successfully, please consider giving Eliza a forever home. Gerbils are social animals and do better when living with other same sex gerbils. Eliza is constantly on the go, she is super active and very curious. She loves having something to do whether its running on her wheel, digging in her bedding or sand, chewing up cardboard tubes or reorganizing her living space. She can be quick when you pick her up, but most gerbils are. She should be handled in a secure area initially. Eliza is an interesting pet to watch and a pet that would love the challenge of a maze, cardboard constructions or a fun interactive play area.<br/><br/>Eliza is located in Macungie, PA.<br/><br/>Gerbils can make cute and fun little pets, but as any pets do, they require some special care.
