Dixie and Trevor's Story

Meet Dixie and Trevor, two stylish guinea pigs who prove that sometimes your forever home isn't the only thing waiting for you at Luna's House. Dixie, a gorgeous white, black, and brown short-haired lady is about six months old and Trevor, a striking white, brown, black, and gray Abyssinian (recognizable by the impressive tuft of hair sticking straight up on his little tush), is about 10 months old.

At Luna's House, our mission is to help every animal find a forever home and, every now and then, we get the added joy of helping them find a forever friend, too. Dixie and Trevor came to us separately, and after plenty of slow introductions and getting to know one another, these two turned out to be the perfect match.

When Dixie first arrived, she was a little shy, but we slowly learned that beneath that quiet first impression is a delightfully saucy little lady who's discovered she quite enjoys keeping Trevor on his toes. Trevor may think he's the one running the show, but we all know that it's Dixie's world, and we're just living in it.

Trevor is a happy (if slightly particular) fellow who loves playtime, exploring, and showing off his impressive popcorns whenever the mood strikes. He will allow a few pets as long as you don't mess up his au naturel hairstyle. Some masterpieces are simply not to be disturbed.

Together, Dixie and Trevor are looking for a home where they can continue their adventures, enjoy plenty of playtime, and keep each other company for years to come. If you're ready to welcome a pair of piggies into your home, Dixie and Trevor are excited to meet you!

If you are interested in adopting Dixie and Trevor from Luna's House, please take a moment to fill out an online adoption application at the following link: https://lunashouse.org/php_email_form/formphp.html

Once we have received and approved your completed application, we can schedule a time for you to come meet with available piggies. You will be coming to our Animal Care and Education Center, located at 2801 Pulaski Highway in Edgewood, MD. The adoption fee for a pair of neutered male guinea pigs is $85, for a neutered male/spayed female pair is $100, and for a pair of spayed females is $120. The adoption fee is a donation meant to help us offset part of the cost of caring for the animals you are adopting while they are with us, including veterinary exam, spay or neuter surgery, fecal check, food, bedding, etc. Collection of adoption fees helps us to continue to help animals in need.
