The Royal Cavy Guinea Pig Rescue Inc.'s Adoption Policy
When individuals want to adopt from us, we cover everything medically we know about the animal. For example, any treatments they have had during their care, any past medical history from their original home, if they are altered and up to date on shots. We also disclose if the animal is considered special needs or not. We inform about their adoption fee and how their contribution goes to the medical costs of sick animals we treat. There is an adoption packet families will get when they adopt from us, and we go over all the information inside the packets (packets come with their care sheet, any medical history, local exotic veterinarians, vaccine information, general care on the species of animal being adopted) I like to inform adopters that any animal adopted out by us are always welcome back to our rescue.
