Brownie's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
*This is a courtesy posting. Simba is not at DPR, but his current owner asked us to help find him a great home!* Brownie- 2 year old male shorthaired guinea pig (brown and white). Currently lives in a solo cage side by side with his brother (Simba). Shy but friendly guy who loves chin rubs and bell peppers. Looking for a good home where he will be given ample space (8sq ft min cage), lots of hay, his daily portion veggies and of course, love.
Guinea pigs have wonderful personalities- they are gentle and we have yet to come across any who bite, and they keep a daytime schedule! They form close bonds with their people, similar to cats and dogs. Did you know they are able to recognize people based on scent, sound and sight?! These sweet animals make wonderful pets!

If you are interested in adopting, pleas fill out a 'Guinea Pig Application' at www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
Adoption fee is: $30 Can’t adopt? Consider donating! We are always in need of hay, pellets and guinea pig enrichment! If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as 'available for adoption', that means the animal is still in DPR's care. *Please note - we do not do on-site meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the guinea pig's foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the guinea pig. You can pick your guinea pig up 'curb side'. Guinea pigs can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *

DPR guinea pigs receive a vet check up prior to adoption!
We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
