Beaker's Story

Beaker was born in a foster home after his mom came to us already pregnant. He is 5 weeks old and ready to find a home. We are seeking an adopter who will pair Beaker with another male guinea pig, since guinea pigs are social animals that tend to be happier and healthier when they have a companion. He loves lettuce, bouncing around his freshly cleaned cage, and burrowing under fleece blankets.

Guinea pigs are active, gentle, relatively low-maintenance pets that love companionship and make great pets for gentle children six years old and up. Guinea pigs are happiest when they have a clean cage and lots of socialization time with their person. They require fresh hay and greens (lettuce, parsley, basil, etc.) daily, and adopters should consider this expense when adding a guinea pig to their family. If you would like to adopt a guinea pig, rabbit, or another small critter, please fill out our adoption application: medfieldshelter.com/adopt

Our guinea pig adoption fee is $30 for one or $50 for a same-sex pair.
