Meet Astra and Celeste
Astra and Celeste are a young pair of good friends (and likely mom-daughter). Celeste is bigger and a bit older, probably a year, while Astra, the smaller pig with the brown spot above her eyes, is about 7 months. We took them in from a shelter along with Astra's two babies. The babies just left the nest, and Astra is enjoying her freedom. While she has always enjoyed zooming, she recently learned to leap! And she often can be seen scampering on and off her hidey (as in one of the profile pictures). Astra also taught her partner how to jump, though Celeste is more likely to be found next to the hidey, reaching up to see what Astra is doing. These girls are a lot of fun. They love to beg for treats and frolic in their hay with abandon. They were shy when the first arrived, but they are really opening up, even enjoying a good head scratch. They also do most of their "business" in their kitchen, which is a plus, though all that hay frolicking does lead to some flying around the cage. Call us today to meet these adorable and funny girls!
