Araminta

Araminta originally came in with Shamrock, but they were living separately upon arrival. Like Shamrock, Araminta was an owner surrender, and we were told upon surrender that she is almost two years old, making her a senior gerbil. She cannot live with other gerbils, while she is sweet with people and easy to handle, she is aggressive with other gerbils and does not tolerate another gerbil in her cage. While Shamrock did not look her age, maybe due to her coloring, Araminta is showing her age in that her white fur is taking over her black. Like most gerbils though Araminta is active, LOVES deep bedding, reorganizing her cage, cardboard tunnels, a 10" NIteangel wheel and a sand bath. She currently resides in a Bucastate 2.0 cage, which is a little bigger than a 40-gallon tank, although that would also make a good cage for her.<br/><br/>Araminta is being fostered in Macungie, PA.<br/><br/>Gerbils can make cute and fun little pets, but as any pets do, they require some special care.
