3 month black velvet male chinchilla baby's Story

We have a black velvet male chinchilla that is looking for his new home. He came to NWI a bit ago, and we estimate he was born 9/21/2015. This makes him right around 3 months old (in a few days), and now is a great time for him to go to his new home and bond with his new family.

This male’s color is called black velvet. That means he has a dark black color over the top of him and over his back, and his belly is white.

He is a very cute boy. He has a “cute” look to him, looks very young (as he still is). He can be energetic in his cage – he’s very curious and wants to see what's going on in the world around him. When you hold him, he looks around to take in everything, but he’s just fine with being held. He’s just a curious boy, who would likely love playtime when he is old enough (6+ months). In the meantime, he can explore his humans when they hold him. He is a sweet boy and doesn’t bite.

This chinchilla is currently living alone, and we do not know if he gets along with other chinchillas. If you are curious as to whether he might get along with your, or one of our, chinchillas, let us know and we’ll see what we can do.

This chinchilla would make a good “first chinchilla” for someone who’s never had chinchillas before.

This chinchilla will come with some food to start you out (2 pounds of Tradition pellets), a goodie bags of chews/treats, and a printed out version of our care packet. He will also come with a lifetime of help and support, should you ever need it. If more supplies are needed, we also sell a variety of chinchilla supplies, from cages to hidey houses to hammocks and everything in between.

Regardless of past chinchilla experience, all potential homes will be asked to read our chinchilla care packet, fill out our adoption application/chinchilla questionnaire, and provide proof of cage. If you are unwilling to do these things, please do not waste our time or yours. No chinchilla will go to a new home without an adoption application being filled out - no exceptions.

This chinchilla is located in Hammond, Indiana (zip code 46324). Sorry, but we do not ship.

This black velvet male is $200 to adopt

For more info and pictures, visit our website - http://www.nwichinchillas.com/availablechinchillas.htm

If you are interested in this chinchilla or have any questions, please let us know. We also do have other chinchillas and other small animals up for adoption as well. You can email us at amgajda@sbcglobal.net or call 219-789-0026 for more information or if you have any questions. If you call and there is no answer, please leave a message and we will get back to you.
